Arboriculture is the cultivation, management, and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants. The science of arboriculture studies how these plants grow and respond to cultural practices and to their environment. The practice of arboriculture includes cultural techniques such as selection, planting, training, fertilization, pest and pathogen control, pruning, shaping, and removal

- TREE FELLING

Tree felling is carried out when you have an unwanted tree or a dangerous tree that could shed a limb or structurally  fail causing damage to dwelling or potentially harm nearby people.

Tree maybe brought down in a whole when safe to do so, if not the tree can be brought down in multiple sections where you can use cut and fell technique or using rigging techniques.

- CROWN REDUCTION

Is carried out when a tree has outgrown it’s surroundings or to reduce it’s overall size and weight of it’s canapé decreasing stress on older limbs to minimize the chances of failure in tree’s lifespan.

- CROWN LIFTING

is carried out by removing lower limbs of a tree, which might have grown misshaped by luck of light or obstructing other trees and shrubs.

Overall crown lifting can give a nice shape to tree when previously was miss shaped.

-CROWN RESHAPING

is a good practice to keep a nice shape to your tree. You would do this if your tree has out grown its surrounding and has had a reducement of its crown or if it has had a failure of a limb and your tree is looking misshaped and if any dead wood has been removed leaving a healing tree with a nice overall shape.

It is good practice to only remove up to 30% of the overall canapé mass to maximize the health of the tree. Depending on which specimen if you take more than 30% it can cuase the tree go into shock. In most cases you will have epicormic growth.

-POLLARDING

Pollarding is a method of pruning that keeps trees and shrubs smaller than they would naturally grow or trees that have already outrowing the surrounding space, pollarding is a method used instead of removing tree complitelly.

It is normally started once a tree or shrub reaches a certain height, and annual pollarding will restrict the plant to that height. Most trees in this case have epicormic growth which you would reduce in size every couple of years or so.

-DEAD WOODING

is when you would remove dead or rotting limbs from a tree or shrub. Dead wood attacks insects and birds to feed or make nests. In hand can cause more rot or disease. Dead wood can also attract fungus that can also be detrimental to the health of the tree. In long term situation could kill your tree. Dead limbs can fail causing further damage to the tree life or a property nearby.
